Why We Built This Site
Michigan makes many government records available, but access depends on knowing who created the document. The Calhoun County Sheriff holds sheriff reports and jail records. The 10th District and 37th Circuit courts maintain different parts of a criminal case. Michigan State Police operates ICHAT, while the Michigan Department of Corrections and Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry answer separate questions. We bring those routes, request steps, office details, and search limits into one county-focused reference.
What You Will Find Here
The material is organized by record source and the question each official channel can answer.
- Record instructions: ways to search and read Calhoun County criminal court cases
- Official check details: differences between ICHAT name searches and fingerprint-based personal record review
- Agency routes: contacts for the sheriff, courts, city police custodians, and statewide systems
- Record relief: Michigan set-aside and Clean Slate sources, plus the proper Calhoun filing court
What We Cannot Do
Calhoun County Criminal History is privately operated. It has no connection with a Michigan court, police department, sheriff, or state agency. Those limits are important:
- We do not retrieve official criminal records or conduct official checks.
- We cannot submit FOIA requests, court filings, or set-aside applications for a visitor.
- We do not issue certified court papers, booking records, or state histories.
- We cannot give legal advice about a charge, warrant, conviction, or court order.
- We cannot promise that an agency fee, phone number, or office schedule has not changed.
An official copy must come from the Calhoun County office or Michigan agency that maintains the original record.
Search Partners
Some record pages display search tools supplied by outside providers. Those providers operate their own products, choose their own prices, and control their results. A paid enrollment reached through one of those tools may produce a referral payment that supports free access to this resource. We do not direct the provider’s service or determine what its search returns.
